Facility

Penn State Hillel is based out of 4 offices, a multi-purpose prayer room, and a kosher kitchen in the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on campus. The largest multi-faith center of its kind in the country, The Pasquerilla Spiritual Center is home to the Center for Ethics and Religious Affairs (CERA) at Penn State. CERA offers a welcoming, safe, inclusive environment for the Penn State community to explore a multitude of faith traditions in a compassionate, open-minded setting. CERA aims to promote an environment that stretches beyond tolerance to a genuine appreciation of and respect for religious and spiritual diversity.

The center has a beautiful multi-faith chapel that can seat 650 people, and we are happy to use the chapel for our High Holiday services. The Pasquerilla Spiritual center also has space for meetings, wedding and commitment ceremonies, and receptions.

Penn State Hillel hosts many of our programs and activities on campus in order to make it most convenient for students, engaging students where they are and sharing Jewish life across campus.

As wonderful as the Center is, we are quickly outgrowing it, and we are proud to announce the start of our Capital Campaign! We have purchased land for our new building downtown (and, if we can say so ourselves, it is a fantastic location), and are eager to raise the money required to get it going!
