Creative Ways to Give

There are numerous levels at which you can support Jewish life at Penn State. Your gift at any level has tangible results. Take a look at the following ways your support can have an impact!

$5 — Cup of Coffee: A conversation with a Hillel professional can transform a student’s college experience. It all begins with a first meeting to light the spark.

$18 — Support the ingredients for weekly Challah for Hunger Baking. The challahs are sold to fight hunger.

$36 — Support a meeting of one of Penn State Hillel’s many groups, including JDC@PSU, Tikkun Olam, and more.

$54 —Support a social activity for Penn State Hillel’s TAG (twenty-somethings and graduates) group.

$108 — Sponsor registration for a student to attend the Jewish Federations of North America’s General Assembly to gain exposure to the broader Jewish community and gain leadership skills to bring back to campus.

$180 — Fund apples and honey during Rosh Hashanah to sweeten student’s lives.

$360 — Enable 50 students to continue to experience Shabbat at Penn State FREE of charge.

$500 – Help one student participate in an alternative break trip to places like the Former Soviet Union and New Orleans.

$1,000 — Enable over 100 students to experience Shabbat at Penn State FREE of charge.

$2,500 — Help Penn State Hillel’s student board provide leadership opportunities for its members, and reach out to new leaders across campus.

$3,600 — Assist with crucial programming and engagement leading up to and following the Taglit-Birthright Israel experience with Penn State Hillel.

$5,000 — Reach over 300 Jewish students with positive Passover experiences, including different types of Seders both at Hillel and around campus, training on how to lead a Seder, and of course great meals!

$10,000 — Underwrite a team of student interns to reach out to uninvolved Jewish students and connect them with Jewish life at Penn State.

$18,000 —Support Penn State Hillel’s social and educational programming, including speakers on the Shoah, joint programs with organizations like the Schreyer Honors College, Israel Independence Day parties, and more!

$25,000 —Leave a lasting legacy at Penn State Hillel through a program endowment designated for a specific use.
